i understand MAPLE?

Course TitleComputer In Science
Course CodeKOS 1110

7 weeks of learning maple...huh...was almost like hell..hehe

Maple is math, but doing math by hand is much easier. The first class we started learning the basic stuff about maple such as the type of mode that has to be used for specific equation. we normally use text, maple input to write command. every time finish writing command we will have to put semicolon and press enter to an output.

At first learning maple was quiet interesting as I myself loves math it was kind of simple(ehem)...However as the weeks pass it became tougher and I was always nervous while in class as our sir would call out names to solve questions at the front of the class. Huh, luck was by my side as my name was never called out and the 7 weeks just went by like that..

Maple was divided into two parts where the first part we learned about solving expressions, functions and sketching graph. The second part, the programming part, we learned about drawing table, arrays, and making list. If we really put our heart and soul in understanding maple..:), it helps in solving complicated math problems. In maple we use all kinds of short forms and symbols such as:-
evalf= evaluate
sqrt= square root
$= second differentiotion
->= to write function
One example of command for an expression...
[>sqrt(27);
which gives answer as 3

This is the starting page for maple..

Our major project was the assignment given by our lecturer...it was the question from last year's final exam paper...all of us went blank looking at the question as we had no idea at all in how to solve it.It sounds simple as the assignment was merely about creating drawing of a star, but to create it, the level of difficulty was to the max  ...It was really sweet of our lecturer to help us (by giving all the answers) do the assignment. all was left for us to do is copy and paste all his answers and send it to him through email.... and a notification was sent by him stating "Ok, 20 4 u"...( full marks for assignment)...haha...extremely happy...all thanks to him of course..
